Kwadwo Asamoah believes the Bianconeri rewarded their passionate fans with a solid display in this evening’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Real Madrid.
The midfielder, traditionally fielded on the left-hand side of Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system, filled in as part of the defensive quartet this evening and acquitted himself well against Real Madrid wide men Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Speaking after the final whistle at Juventus Stadium, Asamoah said: “We put in a good performance against a great team. It wasn’t easy by any stretch of the imagination, but I’d say the final result was fair.
“It’s tough against quick and technical players like Real’s, but I stuck to my task and also managed to push forward when Tevez moved inside to create space.”
