As has become customary over the past three years, the Bianconeri first-team backroom staff met the media this morning for their traditional end of season press conference at Juventus Center.
Those who work tirelessly behind the scenes alongside Antonio Conte were rightly given their moment in the spotlight and took the opportunity to reflect on what has been another memorable campaign.
Here is a selection of their words:
Fitness coach Costantino Coratti: “The club pays Arturo Vidal and has his welfare at has his welfare at heart more than anyone. Everything’s been assessed with the good of the player in mind, he’s undergone successful surgery and now he’ll begin his rehabilitation period.”
Head of fitness Paolo Bertelli: “No two seasons are the same, so we make our assessments on the spot, but we haven’t intentionally done anything different as far as our overall approach is concerned. There’s no denying that the game with Roma on 6 January had its importance.”
Goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi: “My task is to get the lads into the best possible condition and then leave the final call to the boss. Gigi continues to amaze me, he’s trained with particular dedication, exemplary professionalism and performed to a very high level.”
First-team coach Mauro Sandreani: “It was a wonderful feeling this year, even though I was never away from the pitch because I worked with the youth academy. Coming back into the first-team staff, and joining such a tight-knit group, was immensely gratifying. I’m happy and satisfied that I’ve been able to make my contribution.”
First-team coach Massimo Carrera: “We want to do something even more extraordinary than we’re doing and already have done. We’re focused on the final two games in which we’ll look to achieve a points record and further cement our place in the history books.”
Assistant manager Angelo Alessio: “Conte’s skill lies in the way he’s been able to change his philosophy, from 4-2-4 to 3-5-2, and his unwavering attention to detail when preparing for every game."
