Juventus continued to build up towards Sunday’s return to Serie A action with a morning workout conducted in heavy rainfall at the club’s Vinovo training complex.
The inclement weather conditions, however, failed to dampen spirits on the field of play as Antonio Conte guided his charges through a rigorous session in preparation for their clash at the Stadio Armando Picchi.
With the Bianconeri ending their latest cycle of domestic and European fixtures with a convincing 3-0 win over Napoli at Juventus Stadium, Conte will be keen to keep up the chase on current leaders Roma – now just one point clear at the top of the table – when his side take to the field down in Tuscany.
Just one international player, Martin Caceres, remains on duty with his native Uruguay, who will be aiming to secure their place in the World Cup finals when they face Jordan in Montevideo this evening.
Preparations are expected to step up a gear in tomorrow’s morning training session.
