Antonio Conte was full of praise for his team’s pre-season work ethic when he and his backroom staff wrapped up this year’s Juventus Summer Village meetings with the fans by appearing in Chatillon this evening.
Joining Conte on stage were his trusted lieutenants Angelo Alessio, Massimo Carrera, Mauro Sandreani, Claudio Filippi, Roberto Sassi, Julio Tous, Duccio Ferrari and Costantino Coratti.
Speaking to DJ Nana and Christina Chiabotto, the 43-year-old said: “It’s certainly been an excellent, intense pre-season. We’ve done 10 days of hard work and double training sessions and we’re pleased at achieving our target.
“We haven’t, fingers crossed, experienced any injury problems, so we’re also very happy from that point of view.”
Conte is no stranger to the Chatillon experience after spending many a pre-season in the region during his playing days with the Bianconeri.
He concluded: “It’s a place I know very well, having come here when I was a player. We’re delighted because we’ve got everything we need here and it’s also nice to spend 10 days amongst our fans.”
