After maintaining their unbeaten start to the season with yesterday’s 2-1 success over Hellas Verona, Juventus returned to Vinovo this morning to look ahead to Wednesday night’s Serie A clash against Chievo.
With just two days in which to prepare for the Bianconeri’s first midweek championship fixture of the season, Antonio Conte wasted no time in putting his troops through their paces ahead of a testing encounter at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
Despite lying in the lower reaches of Serie A following a slow start to the campaign, Chievo will have taken plenty of heart from Saturday evening’s 2-1 win over Udinese, with Sergio Pellissier and Luca Rigoni overturning an early deficit to claim the hosts’ first three points of the season.
Juventus, however, also have designs on continuing their championship momentum when they line up in Verona, and began their focus this morning with a mixed workout. Those involved in Sunday’s triumph underwent a warm-down session, while it was business as usual for the remainder of the squad.
Tomorrow will see the Bianconeri apply the finishing touches to their battle plan ahead of their early evening departure for Verona. Conte is scheduled to address the media beforehand in a press conference scheduled for 14.00 CET.
