Fresh from three days of rest following their victory over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, the Bianconeri have begun their preparations for taking on Cagliari with a 5-0 win over Vicenza in this afternoon’s training session.
After a morning workout and lunch in Vinovo, Antonio Conte’s men took to the field in glorious sunshine and amidst warm applause from the fans present at the open session also watched by club president Andrea Agnelli and Pavel Nedved.
The goalfest began not long after the kick-off thanks to a penalty converted by Carlos Tevez, and it was soon 2-0 when Claudio Marchisio sent a delicate chip past the Vicenza goalkeeper from the edge of the area.
The Lega Pro visitors to Juventus Center were lively and pressed the Bianconeri all over the park, but they didn’t have any greater luck in the second half as a rotated Juve XI were equally successful in front of goal.
Dani Osvaldo netted two: the first a well-controlled lob that headed in off the bar and the second a wonderful effort hit on the turn from outside the area.
Rounding off an enjoyable game was a goal from Fabio Quagliarella, expertly placed beyond the Vicenza goalkeeper to delight the watching public.
The group’s preparations for Sunday’s clash with Cagliari will resume in Vinovo tomorrow morning.
