Fabio Grosso made it a winning start as Primavera head coach with this afternoon’s 3-0 away triumph over Carpi.
Appointed as Andrea Zanchetta’s replacement in midweek, the former Bianconeri defender saw his charges begin brightly, taking the lead with just four minutes on the clock through Matteo Gerbaudo.
Six minutes later, Alhassane Soumah converted Luca Barlocco’s cross to double the visitors’ advantage, before extending his personal tally with a second inside the final minutes.
At the final whistle, Grosso congratulated his team on a job well done: “I’m very happy with the attitude shown by the lads and confident we’ll be able to perform well in the final stages of the season.”
The Primavera will look to build on today’s positive result when they entertain Bologna next week in Vinovo.
