Just 72 hours after triumphing at Juventus Stadium against Sassuolo, the Bianconeri will be running out at their home ground once again tomorrow against Avellino.
And with no time to lose in preparing for the start of the team’s 2013/14 Coppa Italia adventure at 21.00 CET, Antonio Conte set his men to work in Vinovo this morning.
Avellino may be newcomers to Serie B this season, but it certainly won’t be an easy task for Juve against the side from Campania. They have been a revelation in the second tier so far, and have a good chance of securing a play-off berth if they manage to maintain the form that currently sees them sitting in fifth place.
However, Conte has past experience of success against the Biancoverdi to draw on tomorrow: the ex-midfielder featured in a 4-1 away win back in 1995, the Bianconeri’s most recent encounter with tomorrow’s opposition.
A player who will have to be excluded from the Juve boss’ battle plan on this occasion, though, is Arturo Vidal. The Chilean is required to serve a one-match ban picked up in last year’s competition.
