The Bianconeri continued their build-up to Saturday night’s first home game of the 2013/14 campaign against Lazio with a mixed afternoon training session at Juventus Center.
With just three days remaining until his men line up to make their highly-anticipated seasonal bow at Juventus Stadium, Antonio Conte once again put two separate groups through different workouts in the afternoon sunshine.
The first group took to the field shortly after 3pm and conducted a regular workout, while the remainder of the squad put their recent hard graft to the test in a useful friendly outing against Pro Vercelli, a side who ply their trade in the Lega Pro.
Sebastian Giovinco’s opener and a venomous Simone Pepe free-kick that cannoned off the woodwork provided the highlights of an entertaining first-half, before Fabio Quagliarella’s double and an individual Alessandro Matri effort cemented a final 4-0 scoreline.
Juventus will intensify up their preparations for the visit of Vladimir Petkovic’s charges when they return to the training ground tomorrow afternoon.
