The newly-crowned champions have their say after chalking up their 18th consecutive Serie A victory at Juventus Stadium against Atalanta this evening

      Sebastian Giovinco

“Honestly speaking, we always believed we could do. It was difficult to think it could go any other way, even though Roma played an important campaign all the same: we were devastating and it’s a thoroughly deserved Scudetto.

“Tevez makes the difference with his style of play, grit and determination. There are definitely things I can learn every day, not just from him but from all my team-mates.”

      Fernando Llorente

“All this happening in my first year is incredible, a dream. We’ll enjoy it, because we’ve battled hard throughout the year. We’re very happy.

“We still need to improve, but we’re on the right track. We put in the hours and hope to do well. People had told me it would be difficult in Italy, so I’m pleased with the work I’ve done in helping the team.

“Now we want to win against Roma to reach 100 points and make this season even greater.”

      Stephan Lichtsteiner

“I don’t know how many kilometers I’ve run in these three years. Probably less in the first year because I was playing at the back and it was more simple. After that though, many, many, many!

“This year I’ve weighed in with lots of assists, but playing alongside Pirlo makes everything straightforward: all you have to do is look at him and he puts it on a plate for you. I think it’s important to be able to vary our formation, it’s good to have alternatives.

“I didn’t expect to win the Scudetto yesterday because Roma’s defeat at Catania wasn’t something we envisaged, but then we went out to celebrate following the final whistle.

“We still want to win against Roma, even if we’re a bit tired. Hats off to them, they’ve had a great season.”

      Leonardo Bonucci

“There was a lot expected of me when I joined Juventus. The first year was a bit so-so, a settling-in period. But since Conte arrived, thanks also to my character and everything I’ve always given for this shirt, I’ve managed to show that I belong in this Juventus team by winning three Scudetto titles.

“Roma kept on picking up victories in the first few weeks, but we wanted to do just the same and we showed that with our performances. The key moment of the season was last week in Reggio Emilia. Conte has left a clear mark on this side, and it’s mainly thanks to his methods that we’ve won.

“I was sleeping initially on Sunday afternoon, but I had Pepe in the room next to me and you all know what he’s like – when Catania scored their first goal I was woken up. From then on it was party time. We watched the game together with Peluso and Ogbonna, all in the same room,  and afterwards we went to join the others’ celebrations.

“We now want to continue this positive trajectory in Italy. Next year we’ll start again from scratch, so we’ll need to maintain this hunger that has set us apart in these three years to be able to become more competitive in Europe as well.”

      Simone Pepe

“Conte has contributed so much to this team. We started from nothing and have gone on to win three Scudetto titles in a row.

“I’ll never stop thanking the Juve fans for the welcome they gave me last year against Lazio, in December against Avellino, and for staying with me all the way.

“I’m working really hard and although I obviously need to get back into the rhythm of things, I’m feeling in good shape.”
