Fernando Llorente has been in unstoppable goalscoring form recently, netting his third in three games on Sunday against Livorno with a perfectly struck volley into the top corner.
And he is determined to continue weighing in with decisive strikes in order to guide the Bianconeri to victory in their upcoming challenges, starting with tomorrow night’s pivotal Champions League Group B encounter with FC Copenhagen.
Speaking at Juventus’ pre-match press conference in Vinovo, the Spanish striker began by responding to a question about how near he is to full fitness: “The more I play, the better I feel. I’ve always said that I want to improve every day. I want to be a better player and I believe I’m doing a good job here, where I’m also able to help the team. I think that I can still develop a lot more.”
After offering a thought on his chances of inclusion in Vicente Del Bosque’s Spain squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he reiterated that Juventus’ fortunes remain his current priority.
“There’s still a long way to go until the World Cup, now isn’t the moment to talk about that. I know that I have to do really well here, that’s the main thing on my mind, and helping this team to win could be what gives me the chance to be there.”
