Juventus defender Federico Peluso says he is determined to play a part in the team’s primary mission of winning three consecutive Scudetto titles for the first time since 1935.
The Azzurri international spoke to journalists pitchside in Chatillon at the end of morning training and left them in no doubt as to the Bianconeri’s aspirations ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
The 29-year-old began: “Our goal is to win Scudetto number three. It would represent a real point of pride because it’s an achievement that’s only been accomplished once.
“Personally speaking, I would like to make a contribution to the team and gain as much playing time as possible.”
The former Atalanta stopper believes the increased domestic competition means Juventus will have to push themselves to the limit if they are to maintain their supremacy at the summit of Serie A.
“Our work will be judged by what we produce on the pitch. We’ll think about developing as a team on a daily basis. All our rivals have strengthened and Serie A will feature great champions this year.”
