The Primavera have suffered their first defeat of the season after a brace in the first few minutes consigned them to a 2-1 away loss at Cesena.
They faced an uphill battle after going 2-0 down in the opening stages to the team led by ex-Juventus Allievi B coach Giuseppe Angelini, and although Bnou Marzouk did get one back for Juventus, rescuing a point ultimately proved a bridge too far.
As well having to make a long journey from Turin, going into the game the Bianconeri faced the difficulty of missing a number of players through injuries and international call-ups.
Andrea Zanchetta’s side will now have some time to consider how to improve for their next encounter and work hard on the training ground as the championship begins a break for international matches.
A September full of important encounters awaits them, both domestic and European: as well as the home game against Empoli that is their first after the break, their Youth League campaign opener away against FC Copenhagen is looming on the horizon.
