The Primavera were forced to settle for a point from their opening UEFA Youth League fixture after FC Copenhagen broke Bianconeri hearts with a last-gasp 93rd minute equaliser in this afternoon’s 2-2 draw contested at Osterbro Stadium.
Having initially fallen behind to Vlad Marin’s own goal with ten minutes on the clock, Juventus began to gain a firmer grip on proceedings and saw their improvement rewarded through goals from Pol Garcia Tena and Vajebah Sakor, struck either side of half-time.
But the dismissal of Alberto Roussos for two yellow cards inspired FC Copenhagen to push for an equaliser, which duly came when Mikkel Wohlegemuth converted from the spot deep into injury time.
Results elsewhere mean Andrea Zanchetta’s side will rue the missed opportunity to have taken an early command of the group, with Galatasaray and Real Madrid playing out a 1-1 draw in Istanbul.
The Bianconeri will look to record their first win of this season’s European adventure when they host Galatasaray on Wednesday 2 October.
