Andrea Zanchetta’s youngsters are joining their senior Juventus counterparts in travelling to Istanbul, but they need three points as well as a poor FC Copenhagen result to keep their own European dream alive

The Juventus first team are not the only Bianconeri who will be looking to progress to the European knockout stages when taking on Galatasaray on Tuesday: the Primavera are also flying to Istanbul as they look to reach the last 16 of the Under 19 Champions League competition, the UEFA Youth League.

But their passage through Group B looks a far more difficult proposition than it does for Antonio Conte’s men. Not so much due to the opposition – the Turks are already out of contention for qualification – but because even a win might not be sufficient.

Juve find themselves two points behind qualification spot competitors FC Copenhagen, meaning they must hope the Danes aren’t successful at home to Real Madrid and themselves look to score as many goals as possible to overturn an unfavourable goal difference.

However, manager Andrea Zanchetta can count on an almost full squad for the challenge, with only Simone Emmanuello and Joel Untersee ineligible for Tuesday’s 14.00 CET kick-off.

The full Primavera travelling party for the trip to Istanbul is as follows:

      2 Bertinetti (defender)
      4 Garcia Tena (defender)
      5 Romagna (defender)
      6 Sakor (midfielder)
      7 Tavanti (defender)
      8 Buenacasa Alba (forward)
      9 Marzouk (forward)
      10 Gerbaudo (midfielder)
      11 Ceria (midfielder)
      12 Vannucchi (goalkeeper)
      13 Slivka (midfielder)
      14 Cevallos (midfielder)
      16 Penna (defender)
      17 Di Benedetto (midfielder)
      19 Donis (forward)
      21 Mattiello (midfielder)
      22 Audero (goalkeeper)
      25 Barlocco (defender)
      26 Soumah (forward)
      29 Clemenza (forward)
