Fabio Quagliarella has introduced his new website on Jtv’s Filo Diretto programme this afternoon during a wide-ranging chat that revealed a taste of things to come on the striker’s online page.
Speaking to Cristina Chiabotto about how he hopes it will allow fans to find out more about the aspects of himself that aren’t seen on the pitch, the 31-year-old began: “It’s right that fans get to see another side to you and find out what you’re thinking.”
As photos of himself as a young boy began to appear on the Jtv studio screens, the Castellammare di Stabia-born forward went on to stress that off the field the Juventus players are just like every fan.
“They often see us as heroes, but we were youngsters once too. I had so many trials when I was a little kid. My idol as a young boy was Maradona, and while growing up I also liked Montella.
“In my free time I meet up with friends and go to the cinema. I’m also into electronics.”
The conversation then turned to his team-mates in the Bianconeri dressing room.
“I’ve played with Simone Pepe for longest, but I’ve always got on well with everyone.”
And Quagliarella concluded by expressing the group’s determination to add to the club’s trophy cabinet when the season comes to its imminent close.
“There’s great enthusiasm amongst the lads. Our aim now is winning both of our target competitions.”
