After a memorable finish past Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti in his debut at Juventus Stadium, the Bianconeri striking phenomenon Carlos Tevez has netted again, and this time in even more decisive circumstances against Hellas Verona.
It was the Argentine who pulled Juventus level straight after they went down 1-0 this afternoon, showing the kind of determination and sheer talent that has already made him a hero amongst the faithful at the home of the Bianconeri.
Speaking to the media after seeing his team-mates secure the win, he revealed how Juventus managed to overcome Hellas Verona’s defensive strategy.
He commented: “It’s difficult to play against teams who come here looking to shut us out. You have to manage to find the right spaces in between and make the most of the chances you get.”
He went on to attribute the side’s performance to their efforts on the training field in Vinovo: “We’re working hard and you can see the results out there on the pitch. We know that expectations are high, but we’ll need patience to allow us to improve even more.”
The Argentine then concluded with a thought on his partner in attack, Fernando Llorente: “I’m really happy for him, he’s working well and deserves to enjoy this moment.”
