Legendary frontman David Trezeguet will make his triumphant return to Turin for the Bianconeri’s first clash of 2014 with Roma on Monday 6 January.
The French forward, affectionately known as ‘Trezegol’ for his prolific goalscoring abilities, was originally due to greet his adoring public ahead of next week’s final home fixture of the calendar year against Sassuolo.
However, the 36-year-old’s playing commitments with current club Newell’s Old Boys forced him to postpone his original visit and instead reschedule for the new year.
But Trezeguet’s desire to salute the fans who held him dear during his 11-year spell in the black and white stripes will see him travel to Italy at the first available opportunity.
Supporters can therefore look forward to seeing in the new year with a special greeting from a much-loved Bianconeri hero.
