Arturo Vidal continued his fine start to the campaign by netting his third Serie A goal in as many games during the closing stages of this evening’s 1-1 draw with Inter.
Having previously downed Lazio with a double in August’s 4-1 triumph at Juventus Stadium, last season’s top scorer rescued an important point in tonight’s closely-contested battle with Inter at the San Siro.
The first half saw the Chilean have a strong shout for a penalty after going down under Taider’s clumsy challenge in the box, but at the final whistle he admitted the referee was spot on with his call.
Speaking to reporters in Milan, Vidal began: “I touched the ball with my hand in the first-half and told the referee, otherwise it would have been a stone-wall penalty.
“I’m happy when I manage to get on the scorehseet, but I’m even more so when the team wins, that’s why I’m not fully satisfied today.
“We’ll now immediately turn our attentions to the Champions League game. We want to be in peak condition in order to win what represents a really important encounter for us.
“My contract situation? We’re almost there, I’m really happy to stay at Juventus.”
