Primavera hit Parma for six

Ahead of next week’s playoffs, Fabio Grosso’s Primavera closed out their regular league season in style by thumping ten-man Parma 6-2 in Vinovo earlier on Saturday.

Goals from Pok Mikel Lirola, Luca Clemenza (two), Andrea Favilli, King Udoh and Grigoris Kastanos secured all three points on a splendid summer afternoon, with Lorenzo Mitta and Giacomo Zecca grabbing a couple of consolations for the visitors.

Today’s result seals fourth place in the standings for Grosso’s men, which means they’ll now play Group C outfit Palermo in the quarter-final knockout phase on Saturday 23 May at 15.00 CEST.

The victors of that match will then face the winners of Lazio v Sampdoria in the semi-finals.
