One of the club’s most decorated legends, Lucidio ‘Cochi’ Sentimenti IV, has sadly passed away today at the age of 94.

The former goalkeeper, who played for the Bianconeri between 1942 and 1949, will be forever remembered as a rare goalscoring shotstopper (five penalties in 188 Juventus appearances) and one of the oldest Italian players to ever feature in a World Cup (Brazil 1950).

After hanging up his gloves, he continued to maintain his passion and enthusiasm for the black and white stripes, returning to help coach the club’s academy prospects towards the end of the 1960s.

One of his most recent returns saw him afforded an incredible standing ovation when he took to the field as one of the club’s 50 legends on the magical night of Juventus Stadium’s opening ceremony.

Juventus Football Club wishes to send its heartfelt condolences to Cochi’s family on this sad day.
