Juventus and Lavazza are united in promoting sporting values and they are doing so in Colombia’s renowned coffee-growing region of Meta, where 120 young people aged 5-17 will have the opportunity to take part, free of charge, in a specially designed soccer training experience between 13 and 18 June, in Lejanias.
The initiative is focused on promoting sporting values in a wider social context of education, integration, entertainment and teamwork and represents a further example of Juventus and Lavazza’s work towards an innovative and integrated sustainability programme. The objective is to guarantee participants the best possible training both on and off the pitch, a concept that also lies at the heart of Juventus’ longstanding collaboration with UNESCO.
The project fits in Lavazza’s overall vision on sustainability, which through the Giuseppe and Pericle Lavazza Foundation has been committed to supporting the community of Meta since 2015. Lavazza’s initiatives in the Region aim at improving and adding value to the quality of coffee in the area, regenerating the regional economy and re-integrating the farming families in these territories which, in the last few decades, have been affected by deep social crises.
