Barzagli: “An important step forward”

Andrea Barzagli believes the Bianconeri have taken an “important step forward” in their quest for a fifth consecutive Scudetto with this evening’s 3-0 triumph over Lazio.

Speaking to the media at Juventus Stadium, the defender said: “We took the odd risk in the first half but, in the end, remained untroubled by our opponents. It was a tough game and we dealt with it in the best possible way by commanding the lion’s share of possession.

“Tonight represents an important step forward in our season, now we need to keep going by turning in top performances. We’ve grown a great deal and our results don’t surprise me at all.”
