Lyon prevail over Primavera

Olympique Lyonnais’ Under 19s took the spoils in this afternoon’s UEFA Youth League group game after beating Juventus’ Primavera 1-0 in Vinovo.

The hosts carved out a number of opportunities to score on the afternoon, Roman Macek hitting the post after only seven minutes, while Luca Clemenza would see a free-kick deflected just off target in the second half.

Lyon struck the only goal of the game in the 37th minute, Hassem Aouar capping off a quick counter-attack to put his side in front before the break.

And Les Gones weathered the Juve storm after the interval to make sure of taking all three points back to France. The Bianconeri remain top of the group, level on six points with Sevilla.
