In Anastasios Donis and Zoran Josipovic, Juventus have two players out on loan with a lot in common. They’re both strikers, plying their trade this season in Switzerland and the pair even scored braces on the same weekend.

Aged 20, Josipovic is the older of the pair. The Swiss forward had been representing FC Lugano until January, when he was loaned out again, this time to Swiss Challenge League outfit FC Aarau.

Having been sidelined through injury in recent months, Josipovic only made his first start for the second division club on 10 April in a 3-0 win over FC Winterthur.

One week later, his second-half substitute appearance would prove the catalyst behind his team’s 3-1 victory away to Biel, scoring two goals either side of the hosts’ eventual consolation strike.

The result moves Aarau, who are unbeaten since the end of November, up to third place in the division.

Meanwhile, at Josipovic’s former club Lugano, another Juve loanee was making his mark.

Greek forward Donis has been enjoying a solid run in the Swiss Super League side in recent weeks and he more than repaid the faith instilled in him by manager Zdenek Zeman on Sunday by scoring two fine strikes in a 2-1 top-tier win over FC Thun.

Both of Donis’ goals can be viewed and enjoyed below.
