This evening marks the beginning of the end of this month’s international break as a host of Juventus players line up for their respective national teams for the final time before returning to domestic duties.

Kicking off this evening, Sami Khedira’s Germany travel to Oslo to face Norway, the first step of a grueling road to the World Cup in Russia in 2018.

The day after it will be the turn of Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Daniele Rugani whose Italy side meet Israel while Mario Mandzukic and Marko Pjaca’s Croatia host Turkey in a repeat of their Euro 2016 group stage match, won on that occasion by the Croatians.

Tuesday spells yet more action on both sides of the Atlantic for the likes of Miralem Pjanic (Bosnia vs. Estonia), Stephan Lichtsteiner (Switzerland vs. Portugal) and Juve’s South American contingent of Dani Alves and Juan Cuadrado, with the pair set to line up against each other in Manaus in a crunch encounter in Conmebol qualifying.

Mario Lemina’s Gabon travel to Cameroon for the second of two friendlies, having defeated Sudan 2-1 two days ago.

Medhi Benatia meanwhile has been granted permission to return to Turin by Maroccan head coach Hervé Renard and therefore skip his country’s match against Sao Tomé for personal reasons. The defender has been training with the Juve squad in Vinovo since Friday.

From then, it’s all eyes on Saturday’s Serie A meeting with Sassuolo at Juventus Stadium and a Champions League bow against Sevilla just a few days later.
