Returning to winning ways the aim

“We had words after the Super Cup against Milan, but when you spend every day in this environment, often it’s enough to look one another in the eyes to get your message across. Body language can often convey more than words.

“Over the course of the season, we’ve always reacted well to defeat. That one in Doha admittedly hurts more than the others, but I hope it will ensure we have extra fire in our belly as we look to race out of the blocks against Bologna.”

Beware the Rossoblù

“It’s true that the first game back after the winter, or even summer, break is never easy and we can expect a tough match against Bologna, who held us to a draw last season, but this Sunday we want to send out a strong signal to the rest of the league.

“Then the following week we’ve the Coppa Italia tie against Atalanta and we want to go all the way in that competition. Next month we’ll also have the Champions League again and we need to make sure we’re ready and very much at the races by that point.”

Rugani on Rincon

“I’m sure that he (Tomas Rincon) will give us a big hand. He’s a great player and we’re happy to have him here. He’s a South American and always in high spirits. He’ll bring plenty of positive energy to the dressing room.”

Dani’s continual development

“With time one’s mentality matures as does self-confidence and, consequently, one’s personality. Playing consistently certainly helps in all of this.

“I’ve grown up a lot, but I’ve still a long way to go. I feel like I’ve so far earned my opportunity at Juventus and my aim now is to keep improving and always be in the best possible condition to help this team and ensure that my run in the side continues to go from strength to strength.”
