Over the six years of his presidency of Juventus Football Club, Giovanni Agnelli made sure that his family name would forever be associated with the club he oversaw from 1947 to 1953 and supported passionately for the rest of his days.
L’Avvocato, as he was affectionately known, was the living embodiment of the values that have now become synonyms for Juventus: class, style, enterprise and hard work. It was on that base that the Old Lady has gone on to establish herself as one of the world's greatest teams.
Today, 96 years on from his birth, everyone at Juventus Football Club expresses their eternal gratitude for a man who helped give the Bianconeri the most precious quality of all: a winning mentality.
