A UNIQUE PERIOD

"We're experiencing a special period at the moment and it is there to be enjoyed. The players deserve immense credit for what they have done so far but we haven't achieved anything yet.

"We have the chance to win the Scudetto on our own terms tomorrow. If we play well, we will do it. If we don't, we will move on to the Coppa Italia final and look to finish the job against Crotone next weekend.

"The key in moments like this is to take each game as it comes, there will be time to think about the Champions League later on. I maintain that this final will be different from two years ago; back then, we surprised people in getting that far.

"Preparation for the final will of course be as good as it can possibly be and it will come down more to how we prepare mentally rather than tactically.

"Buffon and the Ballon d'Or? I've been reading recently that if we win the Champions League, he will be a prime contender. He deserves it regardless of what happens in Cardiff for what he has achieved and for what he is doing right now."

IN ROMA WITHOUT MARCHISIO AND KHEDIRA

"Marchisio and Khedira are both unavailable for this weekend but we hope to have Claudio back for the cup final. I'm happy with our midfield options; Rincon, Lemina and Sturaro are all ready to step in.

"It is to the credit of the club that I have such a deep and competitive squad at my disposal; from one game to the next, I can change five or six players and be confident of winning.

"Benatia will play against Roma, I'm delighted that his loan move has been made permanent. While he has struggled with injuries this term, I have no doubts over his quality. He is a superb footballer and he is contributing to one of the best defences in Europe."

CREDIT TO CONTE

"Congratulations are in order for Antonio for what he has achieved; winning the title in his first season in a new country is an impressive feat. Italian managers have won so much abroad because the training we receive here is second to none.

"On the field, you see players come to Italy and improve their tactical games significantly. Our coaches always prepare meticulously both in conceiving their ideas of how they want to play and then in executing them."
