The 2016/17 season saw Gianluigi Buffon and Paulo Dybala star in Juventus’ surge to the Scudetto and Coppa Italia titles as well as the Champions League final and the Bianconeri duo’s impact has been acknowledged with their nomination for “The Best” FIFA Men’s Player Award.

Like Massimiliano Allegri, who is in the running for the “The Best” FIFA Men’s Coach Award, Buffon and Dybala’s chances of winning the prize will be decided by a panel composed of coaches and captains of the FIFA national teams, a select group of journalists and also supporters, who can vote from Monday 21 August until 7 September at FIFA.com.

The shortlist will be whittled down to the top three candidates, who will be named in mid-September, while the overall winner will be announced at an official ceremony in London on 23 October.

Best of luck and congratulations, Gigi and Paulo!
