CUADRADO: THE BEGINNING

"When I started out in Colombia I played as a full-back because we had some first-team players missing and I have to say I did a good job of it!

"It's been a long road to get to where I am now; when I arrived in Italy I wasn't playing very often but I always found the determination to keep going. I told myself that I would never give up and turn back."

ARRIVING AT JUVENTUS

"I'm at a special club. It is explained to you from the very beginning that you must work hard in order to win and to help your team-mates as much as you can.

"That's what underpins the winning mentality that Juventus have; it's the willingness on the part of everyone in the squad to sacrifice themselves for the good of the team.

"My first goal (against Torino)? It was so important because we were coming off the back of a very difficult period and we would have been in real trouble had we not won that game.

"We learned so much about ourselves last season. In Europe too; the defeat to Bayern Munich in the last 16 taught us a lot."

THE FINAL STRAIT

"We didn't perform the way you expect a Juventus side to perform in Bergamo on Friday night but maybe that can even help us going forward.

"These things all contribute to our growth as a group and it would be wrong to focus on the negatives given the brilliant season we have had up to this point.

"Everything has changed since the coach altered our style and formation. Now we are working and moving as one with everyone playing a big part in our success.

"The game against Atalanta was useful for Wednesday night in that Monaco operate in a similar way: both teams have very good young players who look to play quickly and put you under a lot of pressure.

"We need to show our usual solidity, focus and desire all over the field because it will be a very difficult match."
