#LE6END Rewind: Juve 3-1 Sassuolo

By the end of matchday 3 in Serie A, Gonzalo Higuain’s Juventus career stats reads as follows: 119 minutes, 38 touches, three goals.

While Higuain's heart-stopping late winner against Fiorentina on opening night was a masterclass in anticipation and timing, his two-goal show in September's 3-1 win over Sassuolo on 10 September was one of supreme accuracy and breathtaking power.

It was all over after 10 minutes. Pipita slammed an angled drive across goalkeeper Andrea Consigli to give Juve the lead before unleashing an unstoppable scissor kick to double the advantage and all but wrap up the points.

The Bianconeri's third consecutive league victory was confirmed just over quarter of an hour later as fellow summer arrival Miralem Pjanic - making his first start for the club - fired home on the rebound after his header had come back off the crossbar.

Sassuolo struck back immediately as Alex Sandro's header unfortunately cannoned off the legs of Luca Antei and into the net but by then, even after 33 minutes, the damage was done.

A 100 per cent record maintained and the latest sign of what was to come from Juve's new number 9...
