Pjanic: “The system suited us”

Miralem Pjanic accurately summed up the mood in the dressing room after the win over Lazio: “We really enjoyed the system and it was a great response from us. We afforded them very little and we were aggressive, creating chances and playing good football. These are three very important points in the title race.”

The Bosnian was then asked whether he thinks Allegri might reproduce the new formation in the Coppa Italia too: “That’s down to the coach. The team definitely responded very well today, playing with discipline and shape. The Coppa Italia is a target of ours and we’ll prepare as best we can. The opposition are tough and it’s a knockout match but we’ll definitely put in 100%.”
