Up for the cup

“Is revenge on our minds against Milan? Of course. The past two meetings in the league and in Doha left a bitter taste in our mouths; winning this time around is the only option.”

Back on track…

“We confirmed on Sunday something that we’ve always known about this team: Juventus don’t slip up twice in a row. We were off the pace in Florence and the defeat served us well, and our reaction was fierce against Lazio yesterday.

“The guys up front put a fantastic shift in tracking back and made sure their quality came to the fore when they had the chance in the final third.”

"Business end" of season

“We’re approaching the business end of the campaign where the fitness and mental work we did early on should start to pay off. At the moment, I would say that the latter is more important; we’ve got a critical few months coming up and we need to solid and make sure we keep ahead in the title race.

We know where we need to improve, in possession for example, and doing so will put us in a good position to go on and reach the final stages of the Champions League. Our secret? Everyone in the squad does the job when called upon; when you all pull in the same direction, good results always follow.”

Daniele on...Rugani

“I played in midfield at the start of my career and even in goal a few times – I wasn’t all that bad truth be told – but I knew I wanted to be an outfield player.

“If I had to choose on coach who had influenced the most I’d probably say a name that not many people will know, Mister Baroni, who I worked with here in the Primavera. He gave me the confidence and belief to achieve anything I wanted in the game.

“It was a huge honour to be named as one of the most promising stars in Europe (France Football), and I’m proud of what I’ve done so far this term. I’ve even popped up on the scoresheet a couple of times too, which as a defender is always nice.”

"Innovative" new logo

“It was a fantastic event (Black and White and More), and by now exactly what you expect from a club like Juventus. I like the new logo; it’s a step ahead of the competition and a nod to the future. In one word? Innovative.”
