Claudio Marchisio has committed his future to Juventus for at least another five seasons after putting pen to paper on a long-term contract that expires in 2020.

The academy graduate, who joined the club as a seven-year-old, has since developed into one of the best midfielders in the world, capable of covering a variety of positions with consistent results.

His strong performances in black and white stripes have seen him rack up 308 appearances and 35 goals since making his first-team debut in 2006.

In that time frame he has also become an pivotal figure in the dressing room and recently joined fellow leaders Gigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini in displaying his shirt at Juventus Museum after crossing the 300-appearance barrier against Fiorentina in April.

Four Scudetto titles, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia may appear a decent silverware return to some, but Marchisio will be hungry for more as enters an exciting new era with his beloved Juventus.
