Black & White Memory Vault | Grabbing the goals in Juve-Napoli

There are four players in the current Juventus squad who have left their mark in Juventus-Napoli with their goal-scoring exploits. We start from the back with Leonardo Bonucci, who has netted twice in this fixture: in this photo is his memorable first, in 2016-17, thanks to an unstoppable volley.

CHERRY ON TOP

A top-of-the-table clash in 2018-19, as Max Allegri faces off against Carlo Ancelotti. The Old Lady wins 3-1 thanks to Mario Mandzukic's brace, with Leo adding the cherry on top, sliding in at the back post for the home side's third.

DREAM DANILO DEBUT

Such a lightning-quick start to a career in Bianconero is hard to fathom, yet Danilo does it: coming on as a substitute for Mattia De Sciglio, he comes on for his debut in 2019/20’s Juventus-Napoli, and finds the back of the net just 29 seconds later! It’s an extraordinary counter-attack following a Napoli corner, with the Brazilian slotting home after compatriot Douglas Costa’s super sprint down the left flank.

THE LAST

The last player to score in Juventus-Napoli was Federico Chiesa. In last year’s tussle, the Italian picks up a loose ball and fires a shot which deflects past Ospina and into the back of the net.

POGBA'S FIRST

Another left-footed strike in Juve-Napoli, this time from another debutant in 2012/13’s Juventus-Napoli: Paul Pogba. It takes the young Frenchman just six minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute to fire in a fearsome strike from range, opening up his Bianconero account in style.

OPPORTUNISM

The following year, Pogba scores once again in Juve-Napoli, and once again with a sweetly-struck volley. He does admit after the game though, that because his control was not the sharpest, but his quick thinking produced an opportunistic strike that flew into the net.
