Cerri and Scaglia called up for Juve-Udinese

The last player to receive this special recognition was Luis Hasa.

It was January 11, 2024 and among Coach Massimiliano Allegri's First Team squad was also 20-year-old Luis, called up from the Juventus Next Gen team.

This time among the players available to the Coach, in view of Juventus-Udinese on Monday, 12 February, there will be two other players from the team coached by Massimo Brambilla: Leonardo Cerri and Simone Scaglia.

LEONARDO CERRI

For Leonardo, a striker born in 2003, this is his maiden call-up to the First Team for an official match, with his first call coming in December 2022 for the friendly fixture in London against Arsenal.

Returning to the current campaign, Cerri has already played 21 matches with the Next Gen, between the league and the Italian Cup, scoring five goals. The Roman center forward is enjoying an excellent run of form, confirmed by the two goals scored - against SPAL and Ancona - in his last three matches played.

Leonardo, who has exceeded 50 appearances with the Juventus Primavera, is close to reaching this milestone with the Next Gen as well, with 47 matches to his name so far.

Returning to the match against Udinese, Cerri's shirt will be number 45.

SIMONE SCAGLIA

Against the Friulians, the other new face will be that of Scaglia, who has been assigned the number 49 shirt.

A goalkeeper born in 2005, it is Simone's second call-up for an official match with the First Team. The first arrived on the occasion of Juventus-Lazio on 13 November 2022, the last match before the break ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

This season - 2023/2024 - is the first in the professional ranks for Simone. Over the first part of the season he stood in the Next Gen's goal in the Italian Serie C Cup against Pro Vercelli, Torres and Lucchese.
