Goal Anatomy | How the Women score their goals

With the Italian Super Cup already in the trophy cabinet this season, the Bianconere are also in a position to defender last year's Coppa Italia success, as well as being in first place in the league with a nine-point lead: Juventus Women's season has crystallized like this, as they wait to understand what the future holds.

Every result has been made possible by a solid and cohesive group, which has the tightest defence and, of course, the most prolific attack in the league. A total of 48 goals have been scored so far in Serie A in 16 matches, while 14 were scored in the Italian Cup, and two in the Super Cup. Andrea Staskova is the only Juventus player to score in all competitions this season, including the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Overall, the Bianconere have totaled: 65 goals in 21 matches.

HOW JUVE SCORES

All these goals have easily identifiable strengths, even without venturing into the analysis. One, without a doubt, are the aerial balls; many goals have been scored as a header, in particular thanks to Cristiana Girelli, who has netted 16 goals in 16 league games, half of which were nodded in. But it cannot be forgotten the other important headers scored by her teammates: from Linda Sembrant to Andrea Staskova, passing through to Sofie Pedersen and captain Sara Gama.

Another key factor is the left-footers: Valentina Cernoia has six goals to her name this season, one of which, for the record, with scored with her weaker right foot. Valentina has also often been invaluable in providing assists which has often allowed us to witness beautiful movements that have made the forwards' jobs a lot easier. These arrival point of maneuvers highlight the daily work carried out under the orders of coach Rita Guarino.

Of course, there's no lack of great individual feats, too. Certainly one of the most beautiful goals scored was that of Martina Rosucci against Roma, scorer of a right-footed shot from distance, of one of the best goals of the season. Her strike is obviously in good company... Arianna Caruso's left-footed shot from distance in the Italian Cup is worthy of a mention, while Aurora Galli's right-footer from range against Pink Sport Time Bari cannot be disregarded.

Besides these wonder strikes, there were goals that were often useful to unlock the most difficult matches, and there was a few times that the Bianconere needed a penalty to provide a helping hand.
