In remembrance of Vittorio Chiusano

Vittorio Caissotti di Chiusano, known simply as Vittorio Chiusano, was the 21st president of Juventus Football Club.

During Chiusano’s 13-year presidency between 1990 and 2003, Juventus enjoyed one of their most successful eras, winning 16 trophies including five Serie A titles and a Champions League.

Initially graduating with a law degree, Chiusano always had a close affiliation with the Bianconeri, beginning his association in 1960 when he was handed a role as administration counselor before becoming vice-president during the 1970s. He was then appointed president in 1990, succeeding club legend Giampiero Boniperti.

Chiusano passed away in Turin whilst Juventus were on their pre-season tour of North America , 11 years ago. Upon their return to Italy, the team, then managed by Marcello Lippi, won the Italian Super Cup final against Milan and subsequently dedicated the victory in his honour.
