International Bianconeri round-up

A comprehensive look at the Juventus players in action for their countries on Thursday and Friday night, with matches played in Europe as well as the United States.

ITALY

It finished 1-1 in Bologna between Italy and Poland, in the Azzurri's debut in the UEFA Nations League.

Poland led the match at half-time after Napoli's Piotr Zielinski scored in the 40th minute, as he fired a cross past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the Italy goal. The Italians equalised in the 78th minute after second half substitute, Federico Chiesa was brought down in the box and Jorginho scored the resulting penalty.

Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Federico Bernardeschi all started the match, playing the full 90 minutes, whilst Mattia Perin and Daniele Rugani were unused substitutes.

Italy will go on to play Joao Cancelo's Portugal in the Nations League on Monday 10 September (20:45 CEST) in Lisbon.

AMERICAN FRIENDLIES

During the night, our South American players were also in action in matches all played in the United States.

Juan Cuadrado's Colombia won 2-1 against Venezuela, with Darwin Machis putting Venezuela ahead after four minutes. Colombia turned the game around however, with Radamel Falcao equalising on the 55-minute mark, before Yimmi Chara won the match with a strike in the 90th minute.

Douglas Costa got a match-opening assist for Roberto Firmino, as Brazil went on to defeat the USA 2-0, with Neymar grabbing the game's other goal.

Rodridgo Bentancur took to the field for Uruguay's 4-1 win against Mexico with Jose Gimenez a Luis Suarez double and Maximiliano Pereira doing the damage, with Mexico's reply coming in the first half through Raul Jimenez.

Finally, Argentina won 3-0 against Guatemala with Paulo Dybala on the bench with goals from Gonzalo Martinez, Giovanni Lo Celso and Giovanni Simone.

THURSDAY NIGHT'S ACTION

World Champions, France kicked off their Nations League adventure on Thursday with a 0-0 draw against Germany at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Blaise Matuidi played the full 90 minutes in what was a lively match that finished with no goals for either side.

Portugal took on Croatia in a friendly match in Faro that finished 1-1 courtesy of first half goals from Ivan Perisic and Pepe. Joao Cancelo played the full 90 minutes for Portugal who will next face Italy in Nations League action on Monday night.
