Irrati in charge for Bologna match

Massimiliano Irrati has been named referee for Friday evening’s Serie A match-up with Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The 36-year-old, who hails from Pistoia in Tuscany, is to preside over his fourth fixture involving the Bianconeri, who boast a 100 per cent record under his tutelage.

Tomorrow will be the first time, however, that Irrati officiates a Juventus match outside of Turin, having refereed the Old Lady’s Coppa Italia success over Avellino back in December 2013 as well as last year’s Serie A triumphs against Hellas Verona and Atalanta respectively.

Irrati will be supported in Bologna by assistant referees Francesco De Luca and Alfonso Marrazzo, fourth official Gianluca Cariolato and goal-line officials Paolo Tagliavento and Marco Di Bello.
