Talking Points: #JuveAtleti

Extraordinary. Immense. And with an unstoppable Ronaldo.

These are the adjectives we associate after Juventus' incredible victory last night at Allianz Stadium against Atletico Madrid. A victory that sent us through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Here are some stats and facts from the match.

IT'S NEVER HAPPENED

This is the first time in Juventus' history that they have overturned a result in the elimination round of the Champions League after losing the first leg 2-0. The Bianconeri only managed to turn over such a result during the Fairs Cup, in 1965, against Atletico Madrid.

FROM DEL PIERO TO CR7

Before Cristiano Ronaldo, the last Juventus player to score a hat-trick in the knockout stage of the tournament was Alessandro Del Piero, against Monaco in 1998.

RONALDO'S NUMBERS

Cristiano Ronaldo was the 11th player to score a hat-trick in the Champions League with two different jerseys (overall it's his 35th hat-trick in the tournament). No one has scored more goals at Allianz Stadium in the Champions League than him (Arturo Vidal equals his record with eight goals). In total, CR7 has scored 124 goals in the competition, six more than what Atletico has scored in the tournament (118).

In addition, the Portuguese is the player to have scored the most goals against Diego Simeone's side across all competitions: 21 goals.

ATLETICO, ZERO SHOTS ON TARGET

For the first time under the tutelage of Diego Simeone, Atletico Madrid finished a Champions League match without getting a shot on target.

CHIELLO500

Giorgio Cheillini is the fifth player in the history of Juventus to be capped 500 times across all competitions, with Del Piero, Buffon, Scirea and Furino all having done so. Legends!
