Juve-Bologna: Talking Points

  1. Costa does it again

Douglas Costa was once again a huge influence on the pitch after coming on at half-time, registering two assists as the Brazilian crossed a ball to the back post for Sami Khedira to tap home in the 64th minute, and then just five minutes later Costa pulled back for Dybala to score and make it 3-1.

  1. Equal points for Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri equalled his best points total as manager of Juventus, as La Vecchia Signora reached 91 points, the same as the total in 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.

  1. Dybala the difference-maker

Paulo Dybala has now been involved in 27 of Juventus’ goals in Serie A, only Dybala in 2015/16 with 28 has made more in a single campaign for the Bianconeri.

  1. Khedira’s prolific season continues

German midfielder Sami Khedira continues to have his best-ever career goalscoring season with his strike taking his tally up to nine for the campaign. Khedira who previously had seven as his record tally for Stuttgart, broke his previous best with goal against Milan.

  1. Fortress Allianz

The win against Bologna was Juve’s 15th at home in the league, no side has a better home record this year with the Old Lady’s league total currently standing at W15, 1D, 2L.
