Montemurro & Rosucci: "Ready for new challenges!"

Juventus Women - Racing FC Union Luxembourg takes place on Thursday 18th August at 20:30 CEST in Vinovo. It will be the Bianconere's kick-off to their 2022/23 season, the sixth in their history and the second for Joe Montemurro at the helm of Juventus Women. On the eve of the match, the Australian coach and Martina Rosucci presented the first round of the UEFA Women's Champions League at the pre-game press conference.

MARTINA ROSUCCI

"This is a different beginning, we had a few days of preparation, but we are trying to immediately rebuild the way we are -there is enthusiasm!" Football is told in the present and thinking about the Champions League we want revenge, but we are Juventus, so let's remember what we did last year. We play two important matches in quick succession, so we have to be ready straight away and we are ready to show our worth. Last season was exceptional, reconfirming that it will not be easy, but we are Juventus and we are here to do this. The new girls will help us with their experience and their enthusiasm.

"Today is a very special day because Cecilia Salvai is back training with the group. I want to highlight that, because it's a very important return and it will be a boost for us."

JOE MONTEMURRO

"It will be important to immediately find balance in the team, reinforcing our game and reminding ourselves that the most important thing is how we go about on the pitch. Football is the most important thing and the expectations are always high, it's part of representing a top club like Juventus. I like experiencing these challenges, we know we have to play with the pressure on us too and it must be a further stimulus.

"The Italian internationals all returned using the experience of the Euros as a stimulus to continue their high levels and give everything in their Juve family. I'm sure they will be fired up for this beginning.

"Even the new arrivals will give us a lot. In a top club it's important that the level is very high also in training and they will help us to raise this level, as well as having more alternatives during the match in progress.

"I want to thank Maurizio Arrivabene who came here today to speak to the girls. This confirms the importance of our team in the identity of the Juventus family."
