For the class of 2004 from Vicenza the season that has just drawn to a close has been positive. His numbers confirm it and as always we start from these to tell about his first year at Juve.

HIS NUMBERS THIS SEASON

Mancini made 44 appearances in season 2022/2023 in all competitions, 41 of which with Paolo Montero's Primavera side.

These numbers testify his importance within the group. Despite only 18, Tommaso has brought his experience to the Juventus dressing room since his arrival in Turin after two seasons in Serie B, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022, with Vicenza for a total of 13 appearances in the second division and two in the Italian Cup.

This most recent campaign he took to the field 41 times with the Under 19, 33 of which in the league between the regular season and the Finals - topped off with 12 goals - and one presence in the U-19 Italian Cup. He also turned out seven times in the UEFA Youth League, his debut in the competition. Seven games and a huge goal, that against Maccabi Haifa in Israel deep into stoppage time with the encounter mometarily tied at 1-1.

MANCINI'S DEBUT WITH THE PRIMAVERA

Tommaso's first match with the Primavera arrived on 27 August 2022 when Juventus hosted Udinese at Vinovo for the first home match of the season. He was given a run out for just under twenty minutes before starting the following match away match at Empoli, which saw him score his first goal with the black and white shirt in the 5-2 success over the Tuscans.

The former Vicenza striker boasted 12 goals at the end of the championship, not forgetting the one scored in UYL against Maccabi Haifa, undoubtedly the most important of his year because it allowed the Bianconeri to return to Turin with three precious points in their bid to qualify for the knock-out phases of the competition.

MANCINI'S DEBIT WITH NEXT GEN

The excellent performances at Under 19 level earned him his first call up to the Next Gen on 4 December against Sangiuliano City, but he remained an anused substitute. Three days later he did make his debut, however, at Padova in the Serie C Coppa Italia on 7 December.

A few days later he also made his debut in the league - again as a substitute - in Alessandria against Arzignano Valchiampo. The first as a starter with the team coached by Massimo Brambilla would arrive six days later against Virtus Verona.

THE MOST IMPORTANT MATCH

Without a shadow of a doubt, Tommaso's most important match of his season was the one previously mentioned in Israel.

It was 11 October 2022 and the Juventus Primavera are drawing 1-1 at Maccabi Haifa. Deep into time added on his goal allowed Juventus to play the penultimate group-stage match against Benfica with a three-point advantage over the Lusitanians - at that moment third in the standings.

Mancini's goal which arrived in the 92nd minute from a corner. A goal which rewarded the team three points made even more secure after a perfect penalty converted by Huijsen in the sixth minute of added time.
