PRESS ROOM | Comments after Cagliari-Juventus

MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI

"We made a lot of mistakes in the first half, we didn't manage the game well, we should have played more on the second balls, and won more duels. When you don't match your opponents, you risk coming out with broken bones. Cagliari played a great game from the point of view of duels, and in these cases you have to come out on top with technique, or by running more. We're a team that if we don't run and don't stay inside the game, we risk a lot: in the second half the lads did well to recover, Cagliari went down, but the fact remains that you can't give the first half to the opponents; here it's always difficult to play well technically. As long as Cagliari were running we had to put ourselves on their level, in a match that was perhaps even less beautiful, but in this way we would have kept everything in the balance to try and win it."

DANILO

"What Coach Allegri said is correct: the first half wasn't up to the Juventus level, and we all know that. We had the character to pull it back, but it wasn't enough because we can't afford a first half like that. We've had a lot of ups and downs in this second phase of the season: there have been many factors that have caused this situation, including seeing the top of the table slip away. We have a lot of young players, who are growing, we have to remain quiet, united, working, thinking about the next games and obviously looking to reach the Italian Cup final."
