Pedro Proenca has been named referee for Wednesday evening’s crucial Champions League Group A encounter between Malmo and Juventus in Sweden.
The 44-year-old has previously presided over two matches involving the Bianconeri in Europe’s elite competition – 2012/13’s trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and last season’s meeting with Galatasaray in Turkey.
Proenca will head up a Portuguese delegation at the Swedbank Stadion that comprises assistant referees Bertino Miranda and Tiago Trigo, goal-line officials Duarte Gomes and Joao Capela and fourth official Paulo Soares.
