Guarino: “Coaching is in my blood”

HARD WORK PAYING OFF

“The excellent results we have attained so far are the result of the work of all the staff. Behind every victory there is teamwork and naturally the willingness of the players to develop the professional mentality and commitment levels that we promote to them.

“I speak of attention to detail and concentration, because there are always potential pitfalls around the corner. The league is still wide open. We’re doing very well, but Brescia are not giving up and the season is still long.”

EXCHANGING IDEAS

“In terms of training, it is nice to see how at Juventus we are all inspired to using the same model: recently a colleague from the youth sector asked me to show one of our matches to his players. It was hugely satisfying and a clear sign of how we’re constantly exchanging ideas.”

FROM PLAYER TO COACH

“Shifting from the pitch to the dugout has been a natural evolution for me: I have always cultivated a passion for coaching. Even as a player, I would spend my free time gaining coaching experience and I’ve been lucky enough to continue down that path.

“My background is in youth soccer. For eight years, I coached in the national youth teams and my football philosophy is based around technique, improving the individual and allowing players to develop their game. I am inspired by those who have been pioneers within Italian football, learning something from each of them.”

BONANSEA BRILLIANCE

“We aren’t just discovering Barbara’s talents now. Despite being young still, she has been playing in Serie A and the national team for years. Barbara is physically strong, blessed with explosive pace and technically gifted. She still has plenty of potential to improve and will be an important player both for Juventus and Italy for time to come.”

ALLEGRI IN SUMMARY

“Concrete, determined and always striving for improvement.”

WHICH MEN’S PLAYER WOULD YOU WANT?

“The number 10 jersey is still available, if Dybala had some time to spare...!”
