Talking Points: Sassuolo - Juventus

It was a night where the number three was prominent for the Bianconeri: three goals scored through three different goalscorers, and of course, three points.

Here are five talking points for the trip to Reggio-Emilia.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN

Last night’s win means Juventus have now won all of their last seven Serie A games against Sassuolo, with an aggregate score of 21-3. Massimiliano Allegri’s men also put seven goals past Sassuolo in February 2018.

SIMPLY UNSTOPPABLE, CR7

The Portuguese striker’s goal in the second half saw his goalscoring tally for the Bianconeri increase to 18 Serie A strikes, meaning he’s now struck 20 times across all competitions in his debut season for Juventus. CR7 has also scored at least 20 goals in his last 13 consecutive seasons.

SUPER-SUB CAN

Emre Can’s late strike to take the scoreline to 3-0 made him the second fastest goalscorer in Serie A to come off the bench this season, finding the back of the net after being on the field for just 41 seconds.

UNBEATEN ON THE ROAD

Juventus are now unbeaten in their last 24 Serie A away games, winning 20, drawing four and losing none. It was only between 2011 and 2012 where they have gone longer without a top-flight defeat (25).

SAMI'S FAVOURITE OPPONENT

Khedira loves to score against Sassuolo. In fact, his strike against the Neroverdi on Sunday meant that he has now found the back of the net four times against them. His poker of goals against Sassuolo is his joint-record against an opponent in the Italian top-flight, seeing also put four past Udinese.
