The comments from the Italian champions

The 2-0 victory over Sampdoria gave Juventus a ninth consecutive title. At the end of the match, Mister Maurizio Sarri, Leonardo Bonucci, Adrien Rabiot and Federico Bernardeschi, author of the second goal, commented on the Bianconeri’s victory that concluded in another Scudetto.

MAURIZIO SARRI

“This championship has a particular flavour, certainly a strong one: winning is difficult, this team has been won for many years and; therefore, every year it becomes more difficult. It has been a tiring year, a very long season. We claimed top spot two days in advance and it is thanks to this group, because continuing to find motivation after winning a lot, as I said, is not easy. The constant in these years has certainly been the club: the president is always close to you, especially in difficult moments and even the managers are constantly present, allowing you to plan everything day by day. Now let's enjoy this satisfaction, then we'll think about the Champions League.”

LEONARDO BONUCCI

“We started a new path, with a new philosophy: we continued to give everything we had, in a complicated year even off the pitch. It was a difficult time for everyone, and it was also starting again. We wanted it, we suffered and we brought out everything we had to satisfy us, the club, the fans, and those who greeted us in recent months and looked at us from above. An intense year, but we have confirmed to be a team made up of great men. Now let's recover our energy and think of Lyon.”

FEDERICO BERNARDESCHI

“In our mind we have always had the conviction of winning the championship. This was a particular year for everyone and obviously also for the world of football: it was not easy to see a lot of suffering and then have a unphased head to get back onto the field. I think that tonight we hit a stratospheric goal, built from the first day we met this year, we sweated all together and with sacrifice, we deserved this title.”

ADRIEN RABIOT

“I am really very happy, it was a great victory: I had already won the championship in France but it is more difficult here. Winning is always wonderful, even if we missed the fans and we hope to see them again as soon as possible. Now we will focus on the next games, which are important and must be taken seriously, to better prepare for the match against Lyon.”
